We had a great turnout at our first General Volunteer Meeting this past Wed., Feb.25 at Ricalton's. A BIG Thank you to Ricalton's for hosting and donating food. I highly recommend paying a visit for dinner, drinks, or hosting your next event.

A BIG Thanks to all the volunteers who turned out.

A few key items from our meeting that I wanted to highlight:
  • Our next General Volunteer Meeting is scheduled for 7:30-9PM on Wed. April 1 (no fooling) at Ricalton's. If there are items you would like us to add to the agenda, then please send them our way. We plan to hold these meetings every other month going forward. You can sign up  for this meeting and get it on your calendar at:
  • Our next series of the CERT Basic Course will begin March 28 and run on the last Sat. till June. For outreach to our fellow neighbors and for those who need to complete any remaining units, please see sign up at:
  • We have an emergency drill (location and emergency response to be determined) tentatively scheduled for Sat., Sept. 26. I have created a online sign-up for this event to hold this on your calendar:
  • We reviewed the After Action Report-Improvement Plan (AAR-IP) and will begin implementing this.
  • We are building the organization and establishing teams to take up key responsibilities. If you would like to take on one of these areas, then please let us know.
  • We will also be doing more outreach in the community in the near future. If you know of any speaking engagements where we can spread the word on SOCERT, then please let us know.
We will following up with more updates and encourage you to sign-up for our next meeting and events. There will be much more to come.

Thanks for your attention and participation.

Best Regards,
