South Orange CERT General Meeting Minutes and Action Items Nov. 3, 2015 Ricalton's, 19 Valley St., South Orange Agenda and Actions
We are making and seeing some progress; we continue to work on getting attendance at events and recruiting potential volunteers. Special Note: we have made adjustments to the Core Volunteer roster (those who have been trained AND have participated in a training, drill/exercise or event). We now have 17 Core Volunteers and 23 auxiliary volunteers. We encourage all volunteers to actively participate in our meetings, training, drills, and exercises. According to our charter every volunteer must participate at least once in a one of these or in an actual response in order to remain active.
The next CERT Basic training is schedule to start in January and run each Sat. from Jan. 9-30. See sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f084ca5a72ca7f94-cert
Going forward we will plan to take part in 2-3 events: Play Day, National Night Out, perhaps the SO Middle School Health Fair or other large public event.

We hosted a table during South Orange Play Day. We had a "Wheel of Fortune", a number visitors, and six people sign up who were interested in becoming volunteers. Thank you to all who helped out. Great work!
We decided to put this on the back burner for now. We will revisit this issue down the road when it presents itself.
We continue to use the Google form that feeds our potential volunteers list; this is checked once a month or more frequently. Not on the agenda:
